DETROIT—Artificial Intelligence Technology Solutions, Inc., a global developer of AI-driven security and productivity solutions for enterprise clients, has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Robotic Assistance Devices, Inc. (RAD), has entered into a contract to furnish several of its robots to appear in a high-profile, major television network series. “Our amazing robotic technology has once again caught the attention of Hollywood productions,” says Steve Reinharz, CEO of AITX and RAD. “Three upcoming movies, including the highly anticipated Blue Beetle are featuring a variety of RAD’s ROAMEO, ROSA and SCOT, but this production stands to far surpass all others.” The company explains the prime-time television series, due for release in early June 2023, will feature several of RAD’s robots interacting with cast members. According to AITX and RAD, the popular television network typically receives 3.5 to 5 million U.S. viewers during the program’s anticipated prime-time schedule. The Company expects international distribution of the series which could greatly expand viewership. RAD Gains Exposure for its Robotic ProductsAs part of its agreement to allow its products to be used in the TV show, the robotics company has received permission to share and promote video clips and images of the RAD robots in-studio and on-set once the promotion for the series begins. The company expects to release additional information as permission and the schedule from the production company and network allows.
AITX boasts that through its subsidiary, Robotic Assistance Devices, Inc., it is helping to support the $25 billion (U.S.) security and guarding services industry through its broad lineup of AI-driven Solutions-as-a-Service business model. RAD solutions are specifically designed to provide cost savings to businesses of between 35% to 80% when compared to the industry’s existing manned security guarding and monitoring model. RAD states that it can deliver cost savings via a suite of stationary and mobile robotic solutions that complement, and at times, directly replace the need for human personnel in environments better suited for machines. All RAD technologies, AI-based analytics and software platforms are developed in-house.
“This is such a big, highly visible opportunity for RAD that we’ve sent a robotic engineer to support the show for the entirety of the production schedule,” adds Reinharz. “As with our other placements in TV and movies, we’re not paying for this visibility, and we’re very excited to be part of it.” The post RAD Products to be Featured in Prime Time TV Show appeared first on Security Sales & Integration. from News Archives - Security Sales & Integration https://www.securitysales.com/fire-intrusion/detection/rad-products-to-be-featured-in-prime-time-tv-show/ via IFTTT Via https://westoninspace.blogspot.com/2023/05/rad-products-to-be-featured-in-prime.html

DIY security provider Abode Systems, a brand of Nice North America, has announced the native integration of Google Nest thermostats, doorbells and cameras to its platform. Abode is now the first no-contract, DIY home security brand to successfully implement an integration with Google Nest products. Prior to the “Works with Nest” program sunset in 2019, the Abode smart home security platform had a deep integration with Nest products, allowing users to control and automate Nest devices directly within its app. Today, Google has developed a new API called the Google Nest Device Access program which allows Abode to integrate both access and climate control Google Nest products into the Abode platform and exchange information between the two ecosystems. “This is an exciting milestone for Abode and Google Nest communities and we’re grateful to the team at Google for their commitment to creating accessible and compatible smart home security systems,” said Christopher Carney, CEO and founder of Abode Systems, “This reintegration will provide customers with a seamless and convenient way to manage their home security, climate control, and video surveillance not to mention routines and automations, all in one place.” The value of the Abode / Google Nest collaboration is most evident in the CUE Automation engine which extends the usefulness and customizable features of the Abode system. For example, Abode users can leverage the connection with their Nest thermostat by switching to “Away” mode on Nest when the system is set to “arm.” The Google Nest devices that will now work natively inside the Abode app are as follows:
This integration provides a set of features and options to include Google Nest camera and doorbells to access each device’s livestream and for some, record a video clip when an event is triggered. Customers will be able to set triggers or conditions within the CUE automation engine and customize responses based on triggers such as temperature or humidity for the thermostat as well as person, motion, and sound detection from Google Nest cameras – both inside and outdoors. Google has a wide range of smart home products including its voice assistant, smart hubs, cameras, and climate control. Abode already works with Google Assistant for hands-free voice control of devices and automations set up. With the release today, Google Nest customers and Abode customers can now integrate with Google Nest thermostats, security cameras and video doorbells. Auto theft is rising and nationwide surpassed one million stolen vehicles for the first time since 2008, according to statistics released by the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) in March 2023. Parts were also pinpointed for black market resale: catalytic converter theft ticked up 1,200% over the last three years. Thieves are becoming increasingly sophisticated and expanding their threat vectors. Now they’re stealing cars through Controller Area Network (CAN) injection attacks, which inject code into headlights and target wiring for the auto’s electronic control units. Liberty Buick-GMC in Matthews, N.C., is taking active steps to protect open air-assets with iDter commercial AI security technology from KEYper Systems, who in partnership are using AI technology to deter unwanted intrusion on their property. iDter uses AI and 4K ultra-high resolution camera technology embedded in Niō Guardian nodes located around the property to detect intrusion and take immediate and programmable deterrence actions. Scott McCorkle, Dealership Owner of Liberty Buick-GMC, has 16 Niō Guardians installed around the outside of the dealership on buildings and light poles, along with a Niō Guardian to protect the KEYper key management solution inside the building. McCorkle said in one incident shortly after installation unauthorized activity on the property was immediately confronted by the system and the person moved off the property, preventing possible theft or damage. “The combination of immediate detection and deterrence with live video monitoring provides a strong sense of security,” he said. 16 Niō Guardians AI Security Technology Cameras on PropertyKEYper partnered with iDter last year in offering customers with the MX Electronic Key Management System its total intrusion deterrence and monitoring solution featuring Niō Guardians. The MX Key System provides key and asset management that leverages analytics, AI security technology and asset control. Visibility is important to McCorkle, who stays apprised of notifications of activity at his dealership and can access video footage remotely to see what is happening at night and on weekends. “Knowing what is occurring on the property has great value to me,” McCorkle said. Niō Guardians are positioned around the protected premises to detect intrusion with a powerful high-resolution camera with wide-angle lens, multiple motion detectors, quad-core computer intelligence, omni-directional speakers, microphone and powerful LED lights for illumination and red/blue strobing. When a late-night intruder is detected, Niō activates an array of programmable deterrence measures, including instantaneous illumination of 10,000 lumens of multi-directional LED floodlights, blinding strobes of red and blue LEDs, piercing sirens, situation-appropriate voice-down warning messages and intimidating sound effects. During the early evening hours, Niō has welcoming messages explaining the dealership is closed: “Feel free to browse our inventory, we use lights and cameras for your safety and ours.” Events are monitored in real time to ensure deterrence actions were successful, and if not, a video verified alarm is sent to a UL Listed, Five-Diamond Certified central station for dispatch of authorities through 911 operators. The 200 plus-acre plant, which grants access to approximately 400 full-time employees and contractors, expressed a need to upgrade its security system to register and verify transportation worker identification credential (TWIC) cards, in compliance with the TWIC Final Reader Rule — the current effective enforcement date for which is May 8, 2023. “Identity One’s team of engineers worked hand in hand with us to ensure a successful deployment,” says Marco Segura, West sales manager at NextGen Security. “With the TWIC rule going to effect soon, Identity One’s solution increased security and access control management in many ways. Since our deployment, NextGen has partnered with Identity One on several other projects and looks forward to continuing to grow our partnership.” By using FIPSlink from Identity One, the facility can validate a TWIC card within seconds, increasing security and access control management and ensuring the card is neither a duplicate nor listed on the cancelled card list (CCL), states the company. Because integrating FIPSlink into an existing physical access control system allows individuals to link their TWIC Card with their site access card, NextGen significantly improved the ability for the installation site to secure user access throughout the facility. Identity One’s software also ensures the joint solution was TWIC-compliant, without hindering the facility’s day-to-day operations and workflows. “Identity One understands the unique needs of customers implementing smart cards based on FIPSlink for their high-security facilities,” said David Smith, CEO of Identity One. “We are excited to collaborate with NextGen to make this deployment possible, as their extensive experience in this market establishes them as a trusted partner. Our joint integration will safeguard facility personnel and ensures total TWIC compliance for years to come.”
